Phillip Island 23 Jan 10, originally uploaded by gavin.warren.

Classic Bikes racing at the world famous – Phillip Island – circuit.

The weather was perfect, the bikes were loud and smelly – “I love the smell of methanol in the morning, its the smell of racing!”

This guy won his unlimited race and popped a sweet wheelie out of Siberia in early celebration – good on ya!

  1. this is wsb regular for over ten years and an ex australian superbike champion its STEVE MARTIN and was 09 or 10 world endurance champion riding for YAMAHA, he was very fast on this thing engine built by drag race guru south austraian TREVOR BIRREL i should know i raced against him the only time i saw his bike was from behind STEVE can be seen regularly commentating on the WORLD SUPERBIKES. The bike is a 1980 gsx1100 STEVE managed to get in to 1 min 38sec that was fast enough around the island to qualify on the front row of a modern supersport race!!!! and to boot he is a real top bloke always having time to talk to people.
