Why do we love the little critters so?

Well today marks a sad start to the blog…. last night our little rabbit, William was a little subdued as he came in for his nightly cuddle…. he sat under the coffee table and benson (the golden retreiver) just made a great fuss over him. He sniffed, prodded with his nose and put his great chin on the bunny.This morning (after I had left for work early) Sue had him taken to the vet for a check up… still poorly, he sat with his head over the water bowl and looked sad.This afternoon William died at the vet’s. This is a common thing with rabbits, they get stomach / bowel obstructions and die very quickly. Mercifully, it was quick.His passing makes me wonder – Why do we become so attached to the little buggers? Not just rabbits, cats, dogs etc…. all pets. or as I prefer to call them.. furry children.   Rest in Peace little William…
